Hi, my name is George Vachadze. I joined the College of Staten Island in 2009. I hold Ph.D. in Mathematics/Statistics from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (2003) and Ph.D. in Economics from the Center of Economic Research and Graduate Education (CERGE) of Charles University (1999).

Between 2005 and 2009 I did my post-doctoral studies in international economics at the Bielefeld Graduate School of Economics and Management (BiGSEM). My current research and teaching interests include (a) Finance, growth, and development, (b) Between and within-country income inequality, and (c) Financial globalization and endogenous fluctuations.
